Danielle Supkis Cheek founded D. Supkis Cheek, PLLC in August 2013 based in Houston, Texas.

She is a Certified Public Account (CPA) in the State of Texas, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiner, a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, and has a Certificate in International Financial Reporting (CertIFR) from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the United Kingdom.

Danielle:

  • Was the 2016 Outstanding Young CPA in Honor of Maximo Mukelabai by the American Institute of CPA’s, and was the first woman to receive this award
  • Was named a 2016 Most Powerful Women in Accounting by CPA Practice Advisor
  • Was named a 40 under 40 by the CPA Practice Advisor in 2016, 2015, and 2014 and by NACVA in 2015
  • Was a 2014 Texas Society of CPA’s Rising Star, - Was a recipient of the Woman of Excellence Award by the Federation of Houston Professional
  • Is a subcommittee chair for the PCPS Technical Issues Committee with the American Institute for CPAs
  • Is the National Association Administrator for the American Woman’s Society of CPAs
  • Was a Past President of the Houston Affiliate of the American Woman’s Society of CPAs
  • Sits on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants GenNext Task Force and formerly sat on the Woman’s Initiatives Executive Committee Champions Task Force

In addition, in 2016 her firm was ranked #31 by the Houston Business Journal in Houston (at 31 years old), and recently recognized by the Houston CPA society for excellence in diversity and inclusiveness programming for small firms.

Danielle is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), and is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accounts (AICPA).

She is a frequent lecturer on the accounting needs of private companies. She is the immediate past VP of Finance of the Woman’s Resource Center of Greater Houston (a financial literacy non-profit) and is a part time faculty member at Rice University teaching accounting for entrepreneurs, data analytics, and auditing.
